Chanukah Party Ideas
1. Get your children involved – kids win the hearts in a way that we adults often cannot.
Whether it is getting them to sing, say a dvar Torah or answer questions about Chanukah - all are good.

would benefit from discussing… as well as a Chanukah quiz:

2. Make sure your guests feel comfortable and that you are not doing anything that will embarrass them – e.g.
asking them questions they do not know the answers to!
3. If you do have some kind of Chanukah gift to give them – that would be great – everyone likes a gift!
4. Make sure that if you are singing Ma’oz tsur and haneros halalu that you have a transliteration for them. Artscoll
has (or see below).
5. You can play dreidel and explain to them why it was done. Included in the article below is an explanation, as well
as giving transliterations for the blessings etc

6. Give your guests personal attention as well. Make sure you get to know how they are doing, what’s new in their lives,
and if there’s any way you can be of help to them. Listening, caring and being a true friend is the greatest path to bringing
someone closer to yiddishkeit.

that they can relate to can touch someone. Long divrei Torah that they do not relate to do not.
