Yoga

Physically doing yoga exercises without the interplay/integration of the mental and spiritual, would be like going through the motions of playing a musical instrument without actually playing anything.

Yoga

There are many different kinds of yoga practiced today. Yoga can be seen as an integral lifestyle/philosophy (Integral Yoga, Karma yoga etc.) or as a 'routine'/exercise that you perform once (or more) a day to increase your physical, mental and spiritual well being.
Because yoga builds up a very sharp awareness of the state of the body and mind, one becomes very aware of ones state of health and more likely to nurture it. The ancestor of other forms of yoga, the Bodhi style of Tibetan Yoga, (or just Tibetan Yoga for short) is unique in its benefits. You may recognize some familiar postures, poses, breathing, etc. But if you look closer, you’ll discover an integral approach that is missing in many forms of yoga. We highly recommend this form of yoga as it contains both physical techniques as well as spiritual/energy techniques...read more.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a branch of yoga consisting of a system of physical stretches and postures (asanas) and breath control (pranayama) to attain control over the mind and the body. It has become increasingly popular in the west as stress relief and promoting general well being.
In contrast to several other forms of yoga, the postures in Hatha Yoga do not go in a flow but every posture is ended before the next is started. Hatha Yoga is often ended with a moment of meditation.

Lyengar Yoga

Lyengar Yoga is learnt by studying the asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath-control). Lyengar Yoga has been created with consideration of the flexibility of the average person (which is not great unfortunately). It pays special attention to performing the exercises correctly with the right angle, the right alignment of the spine etc. It also allows the use of props (blocks, chairs, blankets, belts etc.) to assist in getting into the correct position. Thus, besides the benefits of Hatha Yoga, Lyengar Yoga is great for getting a good posture.
